course will: - summarise current legislation applying to discrimination in employment
- refer to recent cases
where successful claims have been lodged
- offer tips on how to bring a successful claim for discrimination

of Goods, Facilities and Services: what you can do (with particular reference to changes following the new Equality Act, 2010)
This course will: - explain how
current legislation applies to the provision of goods, facilities and services and what is covered
- describe what legal redress is available
where an act of discrimination has occurred
- offer tips on how to bring a successful claim for discrimination

Who should attend?
Both courses are aimed at
advisers working in advice centres and CABx. No prior knowledge of equality legislation is assumed but the courses are also suitable for experienced advisers
wishing to improve their knowledge and skills. |
The Trainers
Christine Palmer is a solicitor specialising in employment law. She works within the Discrimination Project at Leicester
Money Advice and Community Law Service | Gillian Carpenter is a legal adviser specialising
in discrimination law as it applies to the provision of goods, facilities and services. She works within the Discrimination
