On April 1st 2011 Leicester Money Advice changed its name and re-launched its services as Community Advice & Law Service. Our new website is currently under construction and we anticipate it being fully operational by the end of April.

We are an independent support service, assisting people in the Leicester City and County. We offer free advice to people who are experiencing problems with debt, discrimination, employment, housing, welfare benefits and family matters. We can give advice, negotiate and advocate on your behalf and even represent you at court. We are a not for profit agency and do not charge for our services. We employ a range of Specialist Advisers and Solicitors to conduct our work.

Leicester Money Advice and The Community Law Service (Formally Leicester Money Advice) has been offering debt advice and support to the residents of Leicester for over 25 years. The services we offer include self help materials and fact sheets; appointments at our offices (or home visits if required) where we can offer advice, negotiate with creditors and help you to manage your debts on your budget. We have an office at Leicester County Court and we can represent you at your court hearing if required. We also run a number of outreach services across Leicester. This website also offers downloadable information sheets, links to useful sites and you can contact us with a query via the website.
